Daniel Swarilov is an artist and craftsman working across sculpture, jewelry, and functional objects. Trained as an architect at the Architectural Association and later apprenticed to be a goldsmith, he works through metal casting as both a technical and alchemical process. Fire, for him, is not just a method of transformation but a collaborator —introducing unpredictability, erosion, and permanence into the work.

Many of his pieces begin with plant specimens or geological samples, gathered or digitally captured from the landscapes he moves through. These fragments are cast into metal, preserving what is fragile. The resulting objects shift between ornament, artefact, and tool, texture of place and memory of process.

Raised in Tyrol and now based between London, Austria, and Menorca, he wortks across this triad of landscapes whose mineral and floral character shapes the logic of his forms.

His work has been exhibited at institutions including the Royal Academy of Arts and the Victoria and Albert Museum.
